We've been working like mad on Skudoink lately, working out a few bugs, adding a feature, and basically just rounding out the idea some more. While some of the changes you as a user won't notice, some of them you will.
We've finally got the mobile site up and running! Now you can log in from your mobile device, pull up your smart list, and mark items off as you go along. What could be easier? The best part is, the mobile version is platform independent - all you need is a web browser. It's scaled down for a mobile device so it fits on your screen - but you can still access this version from a regular browser as well.
We've gotten the synchronize option working on the Windows Mobile version. The WM version is still in closed beta, but we're hoping to be offering this to you by the end of the summer.
Right now we are trying to figure out the best way to share a list. As you probably know, from the main web site, to share a list you select the list and email it to someone. This is very easy, but what about updating it? Would you prefer that you could share the list that way, or, have someone else log in and check items off the list while they are shopping (just like you would)? That way, the list is kept up to date and you don't have to worry about whether you checked through all the items when your spouse goes to the store. Or, would you prefer to share a list through the system - link accounts so that if you and a partner sign up and share a list with each other, it shows on both your accounts? Which way would you prefer to share?
We have set up sharing so that if you email a list to someone, and they are a registered user, the list will appear for them on their dashboard. Only the "owner" of the list can edit the name of it or delete it, but the people with whom the list is shared can edit and delete the items on the list.
